The Academy Award-winning writer/director of Parasite returns with the sublime black comedy Mickey 17, based on the acclaimed novel by Edward Ashton.
Mickey Barnes’ employer demands the ultimate commitment to the job: that he dies, for a living. Stationed on a remote ice planet and tasked with dangerous duties, Mickey is an “expendable” who will be renewed when he inevitably dies. But during one regeneration, things go very wrong…
The stacked supporting cast includes Steven Yeun (Minari), Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette and Mark Ruffalo.
Laurent Tirard’s hilarious comedy sees the eccentric sisters of the Convent of St. Benedict set out to save the local nursing home by entering a major bicycle race to win the cash prize…
When the local nursing home finds itself in dire straits and in danger of falling to pieces, it’s down to Mother Veronique (Valérie Bonneton) and the four eccentric sisters of the convent of St. Benedict to find a way to help.
Spotting a poster for a bike race with a €25,000 cash prize (and the incentive of a trip to the Vatican for the winner!), the sisters might just have their answer. The only drawbacks are that they are terrible cyclists, and their rival convent, led by Mother Veronique’s childhood nemesis Mother Josephine (Sidse Babett Knudsen), have their own plans for the prize money – and just a little more experience…
Fun and frothy, Laurent Tirard’s hilariously absurd comedy will have you rolling in the aisles, and the stunning landscapes of France’s Jura region provide a beautiful backdrop too!

The Impressionists are the most popular group in art history with millions flocking every year to marvel at their masterpieces. This new Exhibition on Screen special is set in the spectacular Musée d’Orsay exhibition, bringing fresh eyes to an extraordinary tale of passion and rebellion.
The Impressionists are the most popular group in art history - millions flock every year to marvel at their masterpieces. But, to begin with, they were scorned, penniless outsiders. 1874 was the year that changed everything; the first Impressionists, “hungry for independence”, broke the mould by holding their own exhibition outside official channels. Impressionism was born and the art world was changed forever.
What led to that first groundbreaking show 150 years ago? Who were the maverick personalities that wielded their brushes in such a radical and provocative way? The spectacular Musée d’Orsay exhibition brings fresh eyes to this extraordinary tale of passion and rebellion. The story is told not by historians and curators but in the words of those who witnessed the dawn of Impressionism: the artists, press and people of Paris, 1874. See the show that changed everything on the big screen.
Made in close collaboration with the Musee d’Orsay and National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.

We're excited to welcome the Elina Duni & Rob Luft Trio, who bring to Phoenix their timeliess songs of love and exile. Part of our season in partnership with Leicester Jazz House.
Elina Duni and Rob Luft’s programme of songs of love and exile has been gathering momentum since 2017, when the Albanian singer and the English guitarist began their collaboration.
Rob Luft's guitar playing incorporates echoes of West African high-life, Celtic folk and textural minimalism via the use of long delays, reverbs and loops. His joyously original sound finds an ideal counterpart in Elina Duni's warm vocals. Together, they take us on a journey through timeless folksongs from the Balkans and the Mediterranean which still resonate so truly today.
Their full range runs from ancient traditional pieces to original compositions co-written by Rob and Elina, as well as standard songs made famous by Frank Sinatra and Charles Aznavour.
Their first collaborative work, Lost Ships, was released on the famed ECM Records in November 2020, and was followed their latest album, A Time to Remember, in June 2023.
Line-up:
Elina Duni – Vocals & Percussion
