From writer Diablo Cody (Juno) and director Karyn Kusama (Yellowjackets, The L Word), this horror-comedy has taken on a cult status in the 17 years since it’s 2009 release. Embraced for it’s feminist themes and queer undertones, Jennifer’s Body subverts typical horror tropes.

Cheerleader Jennifer (Megan Fox), possessed by a demon after attending a gig at a local dive bar, starts killing the boys at school. It’s up to her best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried) to stop Jennifer before it’s too late. Needy and Jennifer’s co-dependent, complicated relationship has been recognised by queer audiences as a familiar high school homo-erotic friendship. This one just happens to involve some demons and dead boys.
