Arriving in a new restoration for its 70th anniversary, Kubrick’s lean, mean, film noir follows career criminal Johnny Clay – recently released from prison and planning a heist on a racetrack with a two million dollar bounty. But Johnny hasn’t reckoned on the duplicitous wife of one of his team, and soon betrayal threatens to spoil the whole caper.
