Clash of the Titans 1981 (12A)

This spectacularly fun, old fashioned sword-and-sandal adventure was Ray Harryhausen’s glorious Hollywood swan song.

This spectacularly fun, old fashioned sword-and-sandal adventure was Ray Harryhausen’s glorious Hollywood swan song. Mining the mythos for the most fearsome and fanciful creatures, Desmond Davis’s epic fantasy sees our hero Perseus (Hamlin) in search of the world's deadliest weapon – the Gorgon’s head – to slay the kraken and save the Princess Andromeda. A magical menagerie of monstrous beasts still possess the power to enchant and thrill audiences: from giant scorpions and two-headed dogs, to the petrifying Medusa herself!

Coinciding with the release of Christopher Nolan’s cinematic  retelling of The Odyssey, we present a summer season of epic movies inspired by myths and legends.
