A Lesson on Differences (TBC)

Where do ideas of inclusion and discrimination come from? A Lesson on Differences is an experiment in collective storytelling through interactive reading.

This is a free event as part of Being Human Festival 2025.

Where do ideas of inclusion and discrimination come from? A Lesson on Differences is an experiment in collective storytelling by college and university students, like a choir where you do not need to sing or a play where there is no acting.

By simultaneously becoming a narrator and spectator as a member of the audience, you are invited to explore the evolution of state narratives on social inclusion and discrimination - from the Macpherson report of 1999 to the Sewell report of 2021. This interactive reading challenges ways in which we relate to stories of social injustice and stimulates new ways of imagining collective debates.
