The recipient of the Palme d’Or at Cannes, Fjord is a disquieting drama oozing with anxiety. A challenging morality tale.

The recipient of the Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival in 2026, Fjord follows a devoutly religious family who move to the isolated West Coast of Norway from Romania. While they are quick to settle in, questions about the Gheorghius family’s parenting emerge when one of their children turns up to school with bruises.

Oscar-nominees Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value, Backrooms) and Sebastian Stan (A Different Man, The Apprentice) are exceptional as parents Lisbet and Mihai in this disquieting drama which oozes with anxiety. From the director of the acclaimed 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days (Palme d’Or winner in 2007), Fjord is a challenging morality tale.

In English, Romanian, Norwegian, and Swedish with English subtitles.
