Writer-director Adrian Chiarella’s striking debut feature is romantic but unsettling, sensual yet terrifying. Living in a devout evangelical Christian town in Australia, teenage boys Naim and Ryan know their relationship is a risk. When they are forced to take part in conversion-therapy the ritual unleashes a violent curse - a malevolent entity that shapeshifts into the person they desire most - each other.
A breakout hit at Sundance, this part coming-of-age tale, part visceral horror is a must-see.
