Luca Guadagnino's celebrated rites-of-passage sun-soaked romance screens as part of Leicester Queer Film Club.
Based on the acclaimed 2007 novel by André Aciman and set in Italy in 1983, Luca Guadagnino’s Oscar-winning film chronicles the romantic relationship between 17-year-old Elio and Oliver, a 24-year-old graduate intern who is working with Elio's father for the summer.
Leicester Queer Film Club is a new bi-monthly social and cinematic event that offers thoughtful introductions, space for discussion and a welcoming environment that celebrates LGBTQ+ stories, followed by drinks in Phoenix’s Café Bar.
