Short Platform returns with an exciting showcase of short film and moving image work by Midlands-based creatives, combined with short Q&A's with the filmmakers to gain insight over how the work was made.

PLATFORM presents a selection of short films and moving image work by filmmakers and artists from the Midlands, showcasing the range of talent and perspectives in the region.

Hosted by Short PLATFORM curators Barbara B, Wayne Nelson, and Keith Allott, the evening includes micro Q&As with attending makers after each film. The night concludes in the Terrace Room with a chance to meet the artists, talk about the work, and connect with other creatives.

Short PLATFORM is a space to experience fresh work, spark conversations, and build relationships within the Midlands’ screen community.

If you would like to submit your own short film or moving image work (up to 10 minutes), our next Short PLATFORM showcase will be held in February 2026. Our submission link will open shortly.
