A chance to catch Scorsese’s new epic on the big screen, his latest film reunites him with Robert De Niro for a ninth movie together – their first since Casino in 1995.
Adapted from the book I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt, The Irishman is based on the real life confessions of mafia hitman Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran. Looking back on his life and his work for the Bufalino crime family, Frank reminisces on his friendship with Jimmy Hoffa, and his possible role in his disappearance in 1975.
Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci all give vintage performances in this sweeping, cathartic drama that feels like the last world on the mafia, cinema and America.
