DMU's Professor of Poetic Practice Simon Perril introduces the Brothers Quay's extraordinary first feature, Institute Benjamenta based on the work of the equally extraordinary novelist, Robert Walser.
Following the Brothers Quay's most recent film, Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass, which had its UK premiere at this year's BFI London Film Festival, DMU's Professor of Poetic Practice Simon Perril introduces their extraordinary first feature, Institute Benjamenta based on the work of the equally extraordinary novelist, Robert Walser.
Simon will read poems from his latest book engaged with this Swiss modernist author, and reflect on the Quay’s long-running fascination with him.
