We are very pleased to present the UK theatrical premiere of Julian Elie’s multi award-winning documentary, exploring the impact of  Elon Musk’s SpaceX Spaceport on the small town of Boca Chica Texas.

Boca Chica Texas finds itself at the crossroads between nature and progress when it is chosen by Elon Musk’s SpaceX to be the site of a 21st century Spaceport. As the wetlands are drained, the homes bought out and the beaches sit in the shadow of 50-story rockets, this small town has become the frontier for a new kind of cosmic pollution.

We will be joined in a post-screening discussion by Dr Martina Russo, a linguist and Research Associate at the Leverhulme Centre for Humanity and Space, University of Leicester. Martina studies how the stories we tell shape who benefits from space exploration and who pays the price, and what is meant by the concept of space sustainability.
