Adapted from Raymond Briggs' beloved children's book about a young boy's magical overnight adventure, the original Oscar-nominated animation The Snowman with its iconic score was aired in 1982.

30 years after the original film, producer John Coates felt that the time was right to create a follow up and the charming The Snowman and The Snowdog was born.
