The Choral (12A)

★★★★ – The Times. With many of the local choral society's members away fighting in the war, it is up to the chorus master Dr Guthrie (Fiennes) to recruit new singers and bring the community together.

"★★★★ – one of Ralph Fiennes’s best performances" – The Times

★★★★ – Telegraph

The latest collaboration between writer Alan Bennett and director Nicholas Hytner (The History Boys, The Lady in the Van) is set in Yorkshire in 1916. With many of the local choral society’s male members away fighting in the war, it is up to the new chorus master Dr Guthrie (Fiennes) to recruit a new group of singers to keep the choir going and try to heal the community.

Funny and heart-warming, The Choral also packs an emotional punch thanks to superb performances from the home-grown ensemble cast including Roger Allam, Alun Armstrong and Lyndsey Marshal.
